The official Journal of the Electric Power Research Institute features three of the projects we’ve been building for EPRI:  the iCV Analyzer for corralling contact voltage, iPQ Analyzer for assessing power line quality and MyAltFuels for finding alternative fuel sources. It’s great working with EPRI’s “Mad Scientist” Norm McCollough.

Honda Canada designates Pro-Cuts GYR as their on-car brake lathe of choice

Our work on Pro-Cut’s on-car brake lathe system is paying off.  In addition to guiding technicians through the process of properly cutting brake rotors to manufacturer’s specs, the system wirelessly transmits physical vehicle data and critical break measurements to Honda’s Warranty, Engineering and Customer Satisfaction teams.

Pro-Cut’s GYR software-driven brake repair system wins PTEN Top 20 Tool Award

We couldn’t be more thrilled.   The prestigious Top 20 Tool Award goes to GYR for its innovation in increasing productivity and simplifying tasks in the repair bay.   Directing a technician to make in-spec brake repairs, the GYR system includes a bar code scanner, laptop computer loaded with the GYR app, and on-car brake lathe. Awarded by “Professional Equipment and Tool News” magazine, winners are chosen by a panel of independent techs, shop owners, mechanics and distributors.

Ecolab now has the benefit of unlimited growth. With the modifications we’ve made they can add as many new customers as they please and have the ability to generate an unlimited number of inspection forms and download them to each specialist’s handhelds. What’s more, they can design the forms in-house without having to come back to Green Mountain Software for modifications.

It’s Discovery Time at Ecolab

Time for major updates to AccuSpec, the division’s food safety inspection software. Another two years have rolled by and we decide it’s time for a fresh Discovery process. And do we Discover! Software that was originally designed to be used for 100 specialists is now in use by 300— each performing up to 700 inspections a year. And while each restaurant inspection takes roughly 2 to 4 hours to complete, each inspector now carries up to 40 different forms on their handheld at one time. Must be a record for the amount of data collected on a Pocket PC!
