The Need?

Put Blackberry Connect on the Treo

Palm came to Green Mountain Software with a challenge. Help them adapt RIM’s Blackberry Connect email client to work with the Palm Treo 650 smartphone. The idea was to appeal to a corporate client base—which had grown dependent on their Blackberrys for email.

The Goals?

It was a challenge we gratefully accepted. However, time was of the essence. They had already had one false start … and were behind the eight ball to meet a critical deadline with a carrier.

Working closely with Palm’s software group in Andover, MA, the Green Mountain Software team worked round the clock to meet Palm’s deadline.

What’s unique?

Four companies worked “side by side” from the West Coast to the East.

Four companies were involved … Palm’s internal software team … in Andover, MA and in California … RIM … and of course, Green Mountain Software … which meant that four companies had to work together seamlessly … and so did their software. At the end of the day, we did. For 10 solid months.
